Common Misconceptions About Window Film

A lot of people probably think they know a lot more about window film than they actually do. There are plenty of common misconceptions about window tinting film  that are thrown around that many people just accept to be true. Here are some of the common things we hear, but in reality just aren’t the truth. 

IT WONT LAST… 

Products use a clear distortion-free adhesive system that has been specially designed for years of performance in demanding commercial and residential applications. Additionally, our manufacturers back up this claim with a  lifetime residential / 15 Year commercial warranty. 

IT WILL DISCOLOR…

The metal alloys used in window films are highly color stable. There are no dyes or pigments , unlike automotive window tint, put in residential and commercial  window films, so there is nothing to change color. 

IT WILL KILL MY PLANTS…

Actually, quite the opposite is true. Most plants do better with window film because they don’t “burn” on sunny days. 

IT’S SHINY STUFF…

Unless someone requests a highly reflective film, most films are for residential and small commercial applications and are designed with very low reflectivity. Even clear glass reflects at certain times of day at particular angles, and window film reacts similarly. 

IT’S DARK!

Our most popular films are neutral and are almost invisible on the glass. 

IT WILL SCRATCH…

Special scratch-resistant coatings will stand up well to normal everyday wear and tear and make cleaning and maintenance trouble-free.
